This house sits atop a hill in the woods and ajoins a nature preserve. Upon first visit, we immediately noticed the wind in the trees, the dappled sunlight, and a private, top of the world feeling.
The interiors are as cozy and wonderful as the natural setting and are made for equal parts escape and entertaining. Interventions were careful and selective, focusing on tactile and visual delight while solving functional problems.
Also important was to remain close to local culture, with many elements, such as the use of reclaimed wood and stone, being sourced within a five-mile radius.
